元宵节起源于汉朝，据说是汉文帝时为纪念“平吕”而设。汉惠帝刘盈死后，吕后篡权，吕氏宗族把持朝政。周勃、陈平等人在吕后死后，平除吕后势力，拥立刘恒为汉文帝。因为平息诸吕的日子是正月十五日，此后每年正月十五日之夜，汉文帝都微服出宫，与民同乐以示纪念。并把正月十五日定为元宵节。
元宵节是传统春节的压轴大戏
也是一年美好团圆的开场白
